Scholarship Information:

The Jaide Tosseth Memorial Scholarship was created to recognize Jaide’s love of music, cheerleading, Girl Scouts, and honor her memory.  Jaide passed away from a sudden and tragic accident on October 16, 2016.  She had just started her freshman year at Legacy High School.

Jaide Tosseth’s love for music encouraged her to try a variety of instruments.  She started playing the violin and added the flute later on. Jaide was an active and loved member of the Legacy High School Orchestra.  She decided on not continuing with the flute due to becoming a cheerleader.  While at Legacy High School, she was a cheerleader for a variety of sports.  Her comradery with her cheer squads radiated to everyone in the stands. Jaide was also an active member of the Girl Scouts.  She enjoyed engaging in activities that would challenge her and prepare her to become a leader in her community. Her kindness was evident by her willingness to help and stick up for someone in need.  Jaide was not afraid to try something new. Her various interests included baking, sewing, photography, art, spending time with family, and riding motorcycle with her dad.  She was always there to brighten everyone’s day.  Jaide was an animal lover, talented musician, positive role model, motivator, and loyal friend to everyone she met.

A $1,500.00 scholarship will be awarded annually to a female senior at Legacy High School. The recipient will be selected by a group of Legacy High School counselors. Candidates must be an active member of a fine arts and athletic program, have no unexcused absences, and a minimum 2.0 GPA during their time at Legacy High School.
