Roosevelt Elementary PTO- Playground Fundraising Effort
Hello Roosevelt Families, Friends, and Community Members!
As you know, Roosevelt is a small neighborhood school that serves the west central community in Bismarck. Our school has one section per grade which creates a family-like atmosphere where each educator develops strong relationships with students. This academic environment empowers every learner to thrive as shown by our recent National Blue-Ribbon School status. A Blue Ribbon School is given to exemplary schools throughout the country based on student achievement and growth. Only 297 schools in the nation were recognized for this honor last year.
A small school environment makes a great place to learn and grow but makes fundraising a big challenge. The playground equipment has reached the end of its useful life. Some of the equipment poses a safety hazard to our students and to members of the community that utilize our playground. Our students have been working hard to raise funds for a new playground for the past six years and with plans for a new playground to be installed this summer (2023), we need your help! We need to raise about $70,000 over the next three years to pay for the share that we as a PTO have committed to contributing.
We ask that you consider donating in order to assist with our playground and making this goal happen. If you know of any friends or businesses that are interested, please pass on our information to them. All donations are tax-deductible as they will be run through the BPS Foundation which is a 501c3.
