The Cougar Community Fund
The Cougar Community Fund (formerly known as ‘Jeans Day’) is a Solheim staff initiative built on kindness, compassion, and Cougar Pride. Through a yearly staff donation of $30 ($16 part time staff), the fund provides support for Solheim students and families who experience unexpected emergencies, unique hardships, or one-time needs where a little extra help can make a BIG difference. Each year, staff members also have the opportunity to vote on a few nonprofit organizations to support through the fund. Requests for assistance are reviewed by the Caring Cougars Committee and handled with care, compassion, and confidentiality. The fund also helps provide snacks throughout the school year, ensuring our Cougars have access to a little extra nourishment when they need it. Together, the Cougar Community Fund allows our school community to look out for one another, lend a helping hand, and show what it truly means to be a Caring & Compassionate Cougar.
