A Vision Rooted in Education and Community

Education is often referred to as the great equalizer. It opens doors to careers, resources, and lifelong skills that can elevate families and communities for generations. The Jan Andresen and Mylo Candee Scholarship was permanently endowed with the belief that when we lift up others, we lift up our entire community.

By supporting students with a clear vision for their future, this scholarship helps ensure that opportunity is not limited by circumstance.

Honoring a Lifelong Commitment to Music and Learning

Jan Andresen Candee dedicated her career to music education, teaching students at every level—from preschool through university. Her passion for music and her belief in its ability to inspire discipline, creativity, and connection are central to the mission of this scholarship.

In recognition of her lifelong commitment to music education, preference is given to students who plan to study music at a college or university, empowering the next generation of artists, educators, and community leaders.

A Lasting Partnership and Continued Generosity

In addition to this newly established scholarship, Jan and Mylo Candee also support another scholarship with us, the Jan and Mylo Candee Scholarship. Together, these scholarships reflect their deep and ongoing commitment to expanding educational opportunities for students in our community.
