The Miss B Memorial Scholarship was established in 2024 by the family, friends and classmates of Brittin Meyer to honor her memory. This scholarship was developed to support CHS students who have been involved in Peer-to-Peer program for a minimum of two years and who demonstrate inclusion in their day to day lives with a strong sense of dedication and leadership to the Peer-to-Peer program.
Brittin, nicknamed Miss B, was born to Travis and Amy (Fischer) Meyer on March 29, 2006. She was raised in Bismarck, and attended BECEP, Grimsrud Elementary, Horizon Middle School and Century High School, where she was a senior. Miss B loved school; she couldn’t get there fast enough, and when the school day ended, didn’t want to leave. She was involved in the CHS Peer-to-Peer program and United Sound orchestra.
She embedded herself into the lives and hearts of many with her laughter, love and many quirks. Miss B loved dancing, climbing stairs, and could spend all day outside, especially in the sunshine. No matter the weather, long sleeves were a must, but her favorite was always a long sleeve sweater. She was fascinated with people and loved to watch everyone doing anything. Although Brittin was unable to speak, her actions and spunk spoke volumes. Without saying a word, she leaves a legacy of perseverance, acceptance and love.
