Local BPS Students’ art to be displayed in Paw Art Parade

The Bismarck Public School Foundation’s 2nd Paw Art community fundraiser was a resounding success.  In total, over $6,000 was raised to benefit the BPS Foundation, BPS Fine Arts Department, and the Central Dakota Humane Society.  BPS students drew portraits of pets based on pictures submitted by donors; the finished artwork was then sent back to the owners.  In total, over 250 entries were received, with pets ranging from cats and dogs to sheep and horses.

The students’ masterpieces will be showcased on Dakota Media Access on channel 12 (6-12 HD) and online through a YouTube premiere video set to go live on Monday, April 11th in honor of National Pet Day. Participating students have a “red carpet premiere” of the video on Friday, April 8th throughout the day.
