Join Applebee’s and the BPS Foundation on Giving Hearts Day, Thursday, February 10th to “Take-out” struggles for the BPS Students and families in need. Both Take-out and Dine-in meals at the North and South Locations qualify, simply mention that you are there for the fundraiser both upon ordering and payment to ensure that 20% of your meal goes to support out BPS Family Assistance Fund! The Bismarck Public school District and Foundation have made a commitment to strengthen our community by valuing people for who they are, nurturing our diversity and embracing the contributions of all students, families and staff.
By supporting the BPS Family Assistance fund, you are not only providing basic needs for BPS students and their families who are struggling, you are also allowing BPS teachers the ability to focus on our mission to empower every learner to thrive. Most often these families do not qualify for existing community supports or have not yet been approved and need immediate assistance. In addition to things like rent and utility assistance, this fund also provides for basic essentials such as hygiene items, household cleaning items, pantry items and basic clothing needs.
The BPS Family Assistance fund alleviates BPS schools’ need to fundraise for these efforts on an individual school basis. In addition to being a centralized resource for our schools, the distribution of items is facilitated through the BPS Student Services program, providing authentic work experiences for BPS students.
We ask that you join the BPS Foundation, Eide Ford & Eide Chrysler in helping our struggling families by donating to our BPS Family Assistance Fund during Giving Hearts Day. All donations up to $8000 will be matched and go to fund basic needs for struggling families. Double your donation and help our local BPS families in need.
